Who sets the choices
Pecan Riverbend 1-20-3 Sakuramachi, Toyama, Toyama 930-0003, Japan Phone: +81 76-453-5307 Email: info@pecan-riverbend.comThe short version
Right now this site does not load any analytics, advertising, remarketing or social-media code, and it does not set tracking cookies. The only thing it writes to your browser is a small entry in local storage named cookie_consent, which holds the answer you give to the banner on the home page, so that we do not ask you again on every visit.
Why then is there a banner at all? Because we expect to add a page-visit counter and possibly advertising measurement later, and we would rather build the consent switches first than bolt them on afterwards. When that day comes, nothing will be switched on for you unless you have said yes, and this page will list each tool by name before it starts.
What is stored today
- cookie_consent (local storage, first party). Holds your choice for each category below and the time you made it. It stays in your browser until you clear site data and is never sent to us. Without it the banner would reappear on every visit.
- Nothing else. No identifiers, no session cookies, no pixels, no fingerprinting. Fonts and styles are served from this site itself and no third-party content is embedded.
The categories you can choose between
The panel below uses the names of the consent signals that Google's tags understand, because that is the vocabulary any future tool would use. Each switch starts off. Switching one on today records your preference but does not start anything, as there is no tool behind it yet.
- Advertising storage: would allow a tag to store information for advertising and remarketing.
- Analytics storage: would allow a tag to count visits and read pages, so that we can see which parts of the site are used.
- Advertising user data: would allow visitor data to be sent to an advertising service.
- Ad personalization: would allow that service to tailor ads to you.
- Personalization storage: would allow the site to remember display preferences. The site has none today.
- Functionality storage and security storage: always on, because the cookie_consent entry itself relies on them.
Your switches
Everything below starts off. Functionality and security storage are on because the site cannot remember your choice without them. No tool is installed behind the other switches yet, so changing them records a preference and nothing more.
If you change your mind
- Here: use the switches above. The new choice replaces the old one straight away, and nothing needs to be reloaded.
- On the home page: the banner returns if you clear this site's data in your browser.
- In the browser: settings for privacy or site data let you see the cookie_consent entry and delete it. Doing so simply makes the banner appear again.
- Private windows: they forget the entry when closed, so you may be asked each time.
What happens when a tool is added
- We update this page first: the tool's name, who runs it, what it records and how long it keeps data.
- We update the Privacy Policy and the Advertising Disclosure in the same change.
- The tool stays inactive until the matching switch is on. Choosing Reject All keeps every optional category off.
- If we ever need a choice you made earlier to apply to a new tool, we will ask again rather than assume.
Consent signals and Japan
Japan's APPI and the Telecommunications Business Act treat information collected through cookies and similar tools differently depending on whether it can identify a person or is sent to a third party. We do not collect any of it today. If we later start to, we will treat the choices on this page as the minimum and describe the recipient on this page.
